Carvedilol IP 6.25 mg (Film-Coated Tablet)

  • Carvedilol IP 6.25 mg (Film-Coated Tablet)
     

Designed to deliver reliable beta-blocker therapy with dual alpha and beta receptor blocking activity, helping patients achieve better blood pressure control, improved ventricular performance, and sustained cardiovascular protection across a range of cardiac conditions.

Indications of Carveri 6.25

  • Essential Hypertension

  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)

  • Left Ventricular Dysfunction following Myocardial Infarction in clinically stable patients

Dosage and Administration

Dosage should be individualized and monitored by a physician.
 

  • ​Following successful treatment
    with lower strengths, the dose may be increased to 6.25 mg twice daily

  • Should be taken orally with an adequate amount of water and should not be chewed or crushed.

  • Administration with food is recommended in heart failure patients to reduce the risk of orthostatic hypotension.

Contraindications
 

Carvedilol Tablets IP 6.25 mg should not be used in patients with :
 

  • Bronchial asthma or related bronchospastic conditions

  • Second- or third-degree atrioventricular block

  • Sick sinus syndrome

  • Severe bradycardia

  • Cardiogenic shock

  • Decompensated heart failure requiring intravenous inotropic therapy

  • Severe hepatic impairment

  • Known hypersensitivity to carvedilol or any component of the formulation

Warnings and Precautions:

Patients should not discontinue carvedilol therapy abruptly.

Caution is advised in patients with :
 

  • Bradycardia

  • Hypotension

  • Diabetes mellitus

  • Peripheral vascular disease

  • Renal impairment

  • Bronchospastic disorders

  • Thyroid disorders

  • Pheochromocytoma

Drug Interactions:
 

Carvedilol may interact with :
 

  • Digoxin

  • Insulin and oral hypoglycemic agents

  • Clonidine

  • Verapamil and diltiazem

  • Amiodarone

  • Cyclosporine

  • Rifampicin

  • Fluoxetine and paroxetine
