BiloHep™ 150 is a film-coated tablet containing Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) 150 mg, a naturally occurring bile acid used to dissolve cholesterol-rich gallstones and manage chronic cholestatic liver conditions.
It supports bile flow, protects liver cells, and promotes better liver function with minimal side effects.
Indications – When to Use BiloHep™ 150

Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC)

Gallstone dissolution (especially cholesterol gallstones)

Hepatobiliary disorders associated with cystic fibrosis

Chronic liver diseases such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC)
-
Improvement of liver enzyme levels in patients with liver dysfunction

Mechanism of Action
Ursodeoxycholic Acid works by:

Reducing cholesterol secretion into bile and improving solubility

Enhancing bile flow in cholestatic conditions
-
Protecting liver cells from bile acid-induced cytotoxicity

Stabilizing hepatocyte membranes and reducing inflammation
Contra
indications
Avoid using BiloHep™ 150 in cases of:

Hypersensitivity to UDCA or any excipients
-
Acute inflammation of the gallbladder or bile ducts
-
Non-functioning gallbladder
-
Calcified gallstones
-
Pregnancy and lactation — unless prescribed under medical supervision
Dosage & Administration
-
Recommended Dose: 8–10 mg/kg/day, in 2–3 divided doses

How to Take: Swallow whole with water, preferably after meals
-
Note: Dosage should always be determined by a physician based on body weight and condition severity
Warnings & Precautions

Monitor Liver Function Tests (LFTs) regularly during treatment
-
Not routinely recommended for pediatric or elderly patients unless under medical advice
-
Treatment should be reassessed if gallstones persist or liver parameters do not improve
